Get started in four steps

From zero to running in minutes.

01

Configure your cluster

Name your cluster, tell us whether your machines are on the same network or distributed, and choose how you want to expose your services.

02

We provision your platform

SimplyKube provisions your platform automatically — control plane, networking, identity, and backup, fully configured and ready to go. No expertise required.

03

Connect your machines

Boot your machines from a provided image — servers, desktops, or small form factor devices. They join your cluster automatically.

04

Start running

Deploy workloads, invite your team, create cubicles, and deliver your services.

FAQ

Common questions

What hardware do I need?
Any x86_64 machine with at least 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage — a mini PC, an old desktop, a rack server, or even a single-board computer. You can start with one machine and add more later.
Can I start small and scale up later?
Yes. Start with a single node for your homelab or small team, then add machines as you grow. SimplyKube handles the cluster orchestration — you just plug in hardware.
How is this different from managed cloud Kubernetes?
Cloud Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS) runs on someone else's infrastructure and bills per hour, per node, per GB. SimplyKube runs on hardware you own, in a location you control, at a cost you can predict. Your data never leaves your facility.
Do I need Kubernetes experience?
No. SimplyKube handles the platform layer — networking, certificates, identity, backup. You deploy your applications through a dashboard or standard Kubernetes tools if you prefer.
What happens if a machine fails?
On multi-node setups, workloads automatically move to healthy nodes. On single-node setups, built-in backups let you restore everything to a replacement machine. Either way, your data is protected.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Backups are encrypted at rest. Nodes run Talos OS — an immutable, API-only operating system with no SSH shell, reducing the attack surface to a minimum.
